My Story/About The Artist

Since I was a little girl it has always been my dream to be an Artist. At every opportunity I was always colouring , painting and playing with craft sets. My family used to tell people that one day I will have a career in Art and they were absolutely right. My whole career up to date has revolved around art in some way.

When I was 18 I started my first business at the same time as training to become an interior Designer. I used to make celebration cards, all handmade. This business was great for a little side income but unfortunately not for a full time job as they took such a long time to make and you couldn't charge a lot for celebration card.

After qualifying as an interior designer I started working for an interior design firm at the age of 18. There I became Annie Sloan trained and regularly did furniture restorations. I became a keyholder and ran the place on my own a few hours a week and worked it around my newborn baby.

When my son turned one we had arranged a 1st birthday party for him. My mum paid to have a really special cake made for him. Mum picked up the cake the morning before the party and brought it home as a surprise . When she opened it we were so disappointed. I remember feeling so upset for her as she really wanted to do it as a lovely gesture for me and my son. The decoration was awful and didn't even represent the theme we had chosen. We had to do something and we went and purchased some icing in the hopes of making something for the top of the cake. I made some items out of icing and we were really happy with it. That's when my dad suggested trying to sell the icing figures online. That was the start of my huge career in cake toppers. It became more than a full time job. I was selling hundreds per week. Eventually after 5 years I left my job as an interior designer and worked from home running my business full time. Which was perfect as it gave me the freedom to be there for my son during every school event and school holidays.

Since buying my own home and movingout from my parents I started social media after lockdown and through the covid epidemic. Prior to this I was the type person that would log into my facebook account once and year to thank everyone for my birthday messages! Tiktok was just supposed to be a bit of fun with my son but it really took off for me. I have met the most incredible people and gained an incredibly loyal following. I feel very blessed and believe everything happens for a reason.

The only downside is my full time business, which has taken me away from social media many times due to the huge hours I am working. So I have decided to combine the two things I love most in the world. Social media and Art!

Eventually I want to become a full time artist, that would be the dream. They say If you do what you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.

So This is where my new journey starts, and I for one am incredibly excited. I hope you will all follow me on this journey and I also want to Thank You all for your endless support.
